Meal to remember - September 2023 - Trip Advisor
My first time here at this absolute gem of a place. It's warm and inviting, casual yet sophisticated. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. Portion sizes are generous and everything we ate was cooked and presented perfectly. This is a truly special place, I highly recommend.
Kid-friendliness: There was a table with kids next to us, the staff were very relaxed and child-friendly. They have high chairs too!

I reckon the Thistle is the perfect combination of pub and restaurant experience. There's properly delicious, sophisticated, interesting, generously proportioned food, and restaurant service (this is definitely not the usual pub kitchen!). But also a guaranteed friendly, casual, welcoming beersies experience. The staff know just how to make both great in the same place, which is a rwre thing. Lots of care and attention to their live gig lineups and special events too. Am a fan.

Atmosphere, dining room venue amazing. Staff were superb and food fabulous. Follow up checking all was well after main course great. Strongly recommend and my ladies group look to having our Christmas lunch here as well
